We’ve reviewed both ZenBusiness and Incfile, and they have a lot to offer. But sometimes people need help picking between two things, and that’s where we’re here to help.
About ZenBusiness
ZenBusiness is an all-in-one Registered Agent Service with a lot to recommend it. They can offer you everything you need to get started, including being your Registered Agent, getting you set up with an EIN (Employee Identification Number), and even helping you with online business packages.
About Incfile
Incfile was started by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. Their whole business model is to be as fast, easy, and affordable as possible for people starting out on their own. They have simple, side-by-side pricing options, and you can check out in a breeze.
What they Both Offer
Both Incfile and ZenBusiness will get you where you need to go, namely, they’ll get your business filed with the state you’re in. Here’s what they have in common:
What they Don’t Have in Common
Okay, time to stop playing nice. Here’s where we start to see some real differences. First, what ZenBusiness offers, that Incfile doesn’t:
Now what Incfile offers, that ZenBusiness doesn’t.
And the Winner Is…
Pricing: Incfile
Incfile has a totally free option, which includes a year of Registered Agent Services. Free isn’t always best, except when the category is ‘price.’ In that case, free is always best.
Experience: Incfile
Incfile has been at the game since 2004, ZenBusiness since 2017. Though we should note that much of Incfile’s experience was in their home state of Texas.
Customer Support: ZenBusiness
This really came down to their Better Business Bureau Accreditation and A Rating. Maintaining a good BBB Rating requires good customer service and issue resolution.
Turnaround Time: ZenBusinesss
This also takes into account how quickly and easily we could navigate their website. Both websites offered expedited paperwork, but it was only available from Incfile with the most expensive package.
Overall: Incfile
We found that Incfile had the best combination of transparency, speed, and affordability. When it comes to starting your own business, you don’t really want to spend a lot of time on paperwork, and jumping through website hoops. We felt that the Incfile site had a better set up, and offered more options for the premium packages.
