In it for the glory

We’re extremely early stage & my partner is only in it for the startup culture and glory. His inability to deliver and his diva attitude are taking a toll on me — having to cover his ass.

  • I have met a lot of people like that. They usually end up jumping from startup to startup and never get much accomplished.

  • If you want to make this work and be taken seriously by users and investors; you need to sit him down.

He either has to go or buck up.

Otherwise, you may be heading for a world of pain-On top of running a startup. Don’t make the work more difficult than it already is.

    Good luck!

  • Dump his fame/glory thirsting ass sooner than later. Especially since he’d probably dump yours in a snap for any possibility of something/somewhere shinier than your company or you.

  • Leave him. or throw him out. Or you’re going to be the one working all night while he gets onto front page. Plus all that irritation will mess with your ability to focus on the task at hand.

  • He’ll probably be very successful with that do-nothing go-getter attitude. The squeaky wheel gets the VC.
