WTF is really going on at Clinkle?

It keeps bleeding staff, most recently CSO (who was just hired in Dec), COO (joined Oct and left Mar), VP of design left (Mar) after just DAYS on the job, etc.  So mistakes were made earlier and the CEO is apparently an immature douche (according to his friends), but I thought that was all staightened out with a solid plan at beginning of this year?  Being a very early startup (with no legacy costs/politics), you’d think it would be even easier to fix.  I mean, what kind of an atmosphere and issues must be present for hires to leave after only a few days?

  • Clinkle is undergoing a major pivot. After building their first version and performing market testing (and subsequent hiring binge) they discovered the solution is better suited to address a different but much more lucrative market.

Since this would be a major change in direction, a lot of the “grey haired” execs they just recently brought on board are now not aligned with the new strategy which makes them redundant.

And oh btw, I’m just trolling.

  • So, basically, Clinkle = a Color 2.0 in formation. Eerily enough, color product was also a claustrophuck, the founder of color was apparently also a piece of work personality wise, and the atmosphere there got poisonous.
