Tricked and kicked out by co-founders after get a grant from a startup program

My friends and I applied for a startup program and got selected. Our idea is an AI related app. We agreed that we three will be the co-founders, and I will also serve as CTO.

However, since we could not reach an agreement on the company shares, they told me that we should all quit the startup program. Then, after one week, I found out the two of them are in the program happily…

I’m ok that they joined the program without me because I’m very confident that without my help they will fail sooner or later (they have no knowledge about AI at all). But I really hate they tricked and lied to me.

So my questions is … can they join the program without my permission if I can prove I was one of the co-founders?

Can I request the program sponsor to kick them out of the program?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I think you should move on from them, learn the lessons taught during your interactions with them so you don’t get cheated on something else in life but start out on your own, you will end up bigger and better for it
