The technical person is the business brain. Now what?

I’m the technical pod of our sales/support/software tripod.  Each a 1/3 owner.

Sales and support are good at their pod.  Not so much the business brain trust though.

As odd as it is I’m the business brain.  Many meetings I sit and say to myself “wait for it” only to listen to 10 more minutes of bantering.  I then throw out a “what do you think about” or a “why don’t we simply” and the “oh why didn’t we see that” is usually the response.  I thought standing back more would help the others develop.  It doesn’t seem to be happening.

I’m bored with our software because we need more resources to do what needs to be done.  I’m bored with the market the business is in because the customers have had to tighten their spending so much.  Now what?
