Recent grad and don’t know where to get started

I’m a recent grad & already began working in my field of study. It’s been less than a year and I already hate it. I took some entrepreneurship classes, and I know this is my life goal, but what should I do first? Have a business plan? Save money? Help!

  • The first and foremost thing you need to start for yourself is the drive and ambition and a healthy dose of realism. Dont become an entrepreneur thinking its easy, its not, its long hours, mediocre pay, alot of stress and quite lonely. Be sure that you have the drive to compensate for these pittfalls.

From personal experience i can say that spending money is easy, earning it is hard so thats why i always try to have a business concept and a launching customer before i start spending anything. I would also recommend that you should look deep into your psyche to find the “calling” for your business, its alot easier and alot more fun and rewarding if you have a higher purpose as your BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal).

    • +1 and expect to nearly, or completely, lose everything else that you love in your life, including family, friends, and dreams.

The life of an entrepreneur is the art of constantly failing forward towards your success. It will get down right suicidal before you feel safely awesome enough to try and rebuild you life.

True stories reflect this… go to your local tech hangouts and listen to the “success” mentors, and their stories about loss of everything for their dream of independence.

  • Well, first decide on what business you would like to set up. Without knowing the basic, you cannot move with the planning. When you are aware of the kind of business you want to do, then only you will be able to determine the capital you would need to set up your business. Connect with other entrepreneurs in you domain and follow blogs that shares useful content about entrepreneurship. The trend of shared serviced office spaces is really catching up these days and it is one of the best things where you can save up a lot of money when setting up a start-up. You can also follow this blog where a lot of informative content is shared regarding office spaces and entrepreneurship.
