Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the rocket domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Protect the code

Let’s say you invested a few months developing a widget, it’s working and now it’s time to put it out there and start collect sweet and generous revenues.

Once the code is triggered by a script, how can you safely ensure that no one will give the code away after one download? Do you know any software to generate a security key to be activated only once after you download the widget?

  • Have you tried obfuscation ?

You could hard code a whitelist of authorised websites and obfuscate your code with an automated obfuscator.

Of course, it’s not a perfect protection.
