How do we nurture a new contact?

We reached out to a potential advisor, after a productive Skype chat it was clear he understood the product, the team and how he could help us. He suggested two connections that he would make for us that would be very useful.

The following week he announced a new consultancy role on LinkedIn, asked us to hold tight and has been busy ever since. One subsequent follow up email from us let us know that he would get back to us when he could.

Without destroying any goodwill how do we maintain this contact so that we don’t drop off his radar? We’re early stage and not yet sending out monthly updates or blogging about what we’re doing.


  • Forget about him. “He’s just not that into you.”

    He’ll find you if/when you start making headlines or money. So will plenty of others.
