How can I stop the habit of always needing a business partner?

I guess I’m the ADHD-preneur kind. Since I was 18, I have always been involved with multiple gigs at once. Some successful, some not. But always along with a business partner.

The way I see it, having a business partner allows me to have the peer pressure I need to keep deadlines on track. Having responsibilities for others makes me feel more accountable for not completing tasks. I am a very practical guy who gets things done but also lacks a good sense of organization.

So far I have been happy with the partners I had. But recently I found myself in a partnership in which I am being taken advantage of.  She is very well connected with key partners but I feel a strong sense of restriction on my end to grow things.

I am trying to decide whether it is better to start my own brand alongside hers. I love being involved in nightlife and it would be a very passive-aggressive end to that career if I decide

  • Looks like you haven’t build your network. Use your existing partner to build you network if it can be done

Find a value prop that your current partner cannot bring in

Then you can negotiate it or move on

    Good luck
