Handing out thank you/compensation shares to temp contributors.

4 months ago we decided to let go of a cofounder, luckily we’re in great terms. He didn’t contribute much, but our attorneys advised that we give him ~100 shares regardless and ask him to sign a paper stating that he won’t try to sue us down the road (I guess that happens a lot).

Now we have someone currently helping us out with front-end work for a few days, pro-bono (we help reduce food waste, which is a topic near and dear to his heart). I’d like to give him some shares as a token of our appreciation and am trying to gather what would be a fair amount. Any reading material or formulas that might guide us in the right direction or at least help us get a better idea of what a fair amount should be, would be most appreciated!
