I’m not a finance guy, I’m not good with numbers and have basic MS Excel knowledge. We’re looking to raise a seed round and I need to get the numbers together: sales, forecasts, balance sheet, etc.? Who has some great example sites that take you through this process? I’m literally referring to being guided through the equivalent of Turbo Tax for doing your taxes.
Just try google-fu’ing some terms like “startup expense workbook” or “startup model business plan,” maybe even include “filetype:xls” in the search to pick up excel files.
Then just play around with the numbers, add some more boxes, make it look pretty and then copy pasta it into your slides
Google “startup financial model template” and other variations to find resources that fit your needs. Sample result: http://teten.com/blog/2011/11/10/template-startup-financial-model/
This is really helpful, thank you.
Thanks tons
