Has Anyone Ever started a successful company with Day Job Funds alone and 2 employees?

My partner and roommate and I have recently in the last year started up a clothing line, geared towards the skateboarding scene and EDM Music Scene. We have essentially been at this a year.

While we have a pretty decent social media following, a professional Ecommerce website and loads of people that that tell us we have some huge potential and that they think we are going to “blow up” in a year or two, we haven’t exactly seen this reflected in our sales, or even in our engagement percentage on social media.

We would appreciate if anyone could share any similar stories and solutions. Being such a small start up, funded alone on our Day Jobs, we try to split up the duties of running the business. (i.e. I make all the ultimate decisions as far as design, art, products to carry, I take care of advertising, creating ads, creating websites, graphics, videos, my partner takes care of reaching out to prospective leads, doing research, writing content, learning how to effectively market) Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
