Been running my own business for 10+ years. Several ventures currently in flux & not going well. Just threw up from the stress of everything for the first time. I didn’t know that it was possible to get physically ill from worry, but apparently it is.


  • That’s your mind being over loaded from too many details and

    catastrophic thinking. You’ve takin on too much ?

  • Getting physically ill from worry and stress is VERY common and it is a strong signal that our health is decreasing rapidly: change something and these signal will become something a lot worse.

  • If you are in financial trouble, forget business and get a job.

    If you are not in financial trouble, go on a vacation.

  • Meditation is your friend. You need to relax, get yourself out of the situation, for a little time every day.

  • Whatever relaxes you: Ding-dongs, Ho-hos, oatmeal cream pies….. Ok, so maybe Little Debbie and Hostess isn’t the only solution…

    If you love nature, go on a hike. If you’re religious, pray and read the Bible (or whatever scriptures). If you like sports, shoot some hoops or something.

    Carve out time for your brain to defrag and relax.

  • It sounds like you need a Reality Check! Determine which business ventures are profit makers and discard the rest or at the very least, reduce the expenses those non-profiting business are creating. Also, if you have employees, you might want to access your staffing plan and determine if you have the right mix of employees.

  • I’m sorry to hear how stressed out you are. Hang in there. You have done a crazy ton of work the last 10+ years, and you have a lot to be proud of.

    You will be OK.

    Relaxing activities are great to alleviate the physical symptoms of extreme stress. But I think the main thing is believing you will be OK, you are the same person you were yesterday, you yourself will get through it, even if more troubles come and your business endeavors falter.

  • Been there. And had to keep at it, for financial reasons.

    I eventually learned to make fun of myself gently and reassuringly. So that the stress didn’t turn into a toxic cancerous thing inside me.

    I learned to trust myself in zero gravity situations.

    The bird who trusts its ability to fly doesn’t fear the branch breaking.
