I’ve been pulling 90-hour work weeks at my startup & day job. No sleep, no free time — just work. Our user base has grown like crazy, we’ve received major press, but no rev. I just quit my day job because it’s not worth depression. But I’m scared.

Please stop working so much. It doesn’t really make that much of a difference. Now that you don’t have a day job, take some time for yourself, have fun, have a social life. Otherwise you will ruin your product.

You’re scared because you’re human. We don’t ever lose our sense of fear. The most that we can do is learn to manage it.

Don’t forget all of the sacrifice and risk that you are taking. Be sure to protect your interests.

Your value goes down with every hour after 40. Quitting your job for one with no revenue was not a good idea. Put on the brakes and back up a bit.

Very few startups founders get close without quitting full-time job.

Think about it as getting a advanced degree (MBA or whatever) if it helps and give 2 year super focused attention to it.

MBA costs you around $500K including opportunity costs, so you got a better deal and would learn a lot. End of 2 years , you are a winner either ways!
