I'm tired. Everyday is a struggle to get out of bed. My start up seems to be promising from the response we get from customers and investors, but I feel like I'm in over my head. I'm tired of being broke. I'm just tired.

Me too, no kidding. The worst is when you can’t sleep and wake up half-tired, half-stressed and then it starts all over again.

And then you realize it’s been 3 years.

ha! 2 and a half years for me.

Tired, stressed, broke and i’m the one to keep the team motivated.

It’s a vicious cycle which will eventually come to an end. I hope. That’s what keeps me going. Well and the fact that it’s something I’m quite passionate about.

It’s good to know that i’m not alone in this phase.

Are you me?

To the OP, you are burning out. Take some time out at least over the weekend for yourself. Go camping, meditation or goto another city and read books. Whatever suits your boot so long as you stay away from your routine environment.

Take some time off bud. We are all humans not machines. We all need it.

Me, too. If there was an “undo” button I would surely use it, the financial burden is just too much. But I try to struggle a few weeks more and then I take a delayed two weeks’ (!!!) summer vacation abroad. For the first time in 2,5 years, I will not bring by laptop. I hope I return revitalized.

I have been there too. Last year my startup was barely breaking even and we had to fight for each customer. That by itself did just pay the developers and servers. I had to work 7 days a week doing a little consulting on the side to keep myself afloat and I asked myself many times if this was my best or worst decision I ever took. Suddenly within 3 months we got out of this seemingly never ending tunnel. Now things are way better and I am earring three times the amount I earned as an employee previously. So if your startup has traction keep going.

Go make money then.
