I have founded a company 4 years ago, bootstrapped and almost closing my 2nd seed round. It has been so stressful and feeling depressed. Every time this happens I just can focus on being with my family, and being very distracted and absence.

Ask yourself: “Why am I in business”.

If you still love what you do, than put everything else in the “preparatory negative thoughts of justification for possible failure”… subconsciously you feel that if you stress out about something you created and have others entrusting their money in, then you will still be accepted.

Hint: every single seed investor wants to see “you” succeed, and don’t care if you don’t, because they believe in “you” not your idea. So they just want hustle, hustle, and possibly a dash of hustle on the side. But they also understand burn-out, so run while you think, and just make happen what “your best” can do.

I think it depends a lot on what kind of investors I have right? If they see and accept like you stated their CEO as someone that might be personally affected as any normal person then it’s good. Otherwise it happens to me that I am being evaluated how much I involved my personal life into the business. Also one correction. In my post I wrote ”I can focus’ and I meant I Can’t focus on my family.
