From your insider connections, do you hear that the “end is near”? What are the two or three biggest complains about the investment/exit environment you’re hearing that Pando or Techcrunch isn’t reporting on?
Some people are nervous, but if anything I think the attitude is more “this is like 1997” and investors are still riding an upward wave. There is the question of whether we can even control the economic impact of things like interest rates (which are extremely low right now) or mid-term elections. Some startups are definitely starting their fundraising earlier in the summer instead of waiting until the fall, just in case things fall apart in October on the stock market.
